Understand Why: Find the purpose behind what you are doing. What are the pros and cons of your end goal.
Set One Goal: Simply choose one goal for now--life is busy. Put your complete focus into it and once it is completed you can move on to another. This will keep your stress levels low.
Find Your Inspiration: Reading success stories of goals that are similar to yours will help you find the motivation to take action.
Have a Clear Vision: You have to create a clear vision for yourself to succeed. Create the best vision for yourself, yet still make sure it is probable and possible.
Create a Plan: Once you have the goal in place, you should create a plan to achieve it. Set specific time frames, strategies, and tactics to help you do this.
Journal: Keep a journal or diary of your goal, strategies, tactics, feelings, etc. Update it throughout the day on your thoughts or what you have completed. Checking things off a list is a great way to keep yourself motivated.

Find Support: Anything can be hard to accomplish alone. Find a support group, counselor, or even have family/friends to help you reach your goal.
Surround Yourself With Positivity: Your positive thoughts will lead to positive actions and even self-affirming messages will help you to do your best. Recognize your negative thoughts and turn them into positives.
Hold Yourself Accountable: When things get hard you have to keep pushing through. We make choices in the present (when things seem easier) that bind us to complete an action or actions in the future (when things can get hard). Lock in that end result and maintain that high motivation.

Reward Yourself: After completing the tasks and strategies you created for your goal, reward yourself.
Visualize Success: The most powerful technique you can use to achieve your goal is visualization. If you visualize success, you will succeed.
~If you want to change something in your life, then do it. What are you waiting for? Yes, keeping up with goals and trying to create habits (or even lose them) can be extremely hard sometimes. But if you keep a positive attitude, hold yourself accountable, and seek help from others, you can do anything you put your mind to.
